Amulet the Stonekeeper

It was like one week ago, I stumbled across a graphic novel series called Amulet which became one of my favorite graphic novels. I love all the series of Amulet and it filled me with joy and smiles. It is also very persuasive story.

This book's main characters are Emily (the daughter), Navin (son), Keran (the mother), Cogsley and Miskit (grandfather's friends or machines). It set in two worlds, one is Earth and other one is called Alledia. The genre of this book is fantasy, magic, adventure and futuristic.

One I am reviewing is the First book just called Amulet: The Stonekeeper. The intro of this story is that a family is going to pick up their son Navin. In the car there are mother, father and daughter Emily. Then when they are driving on a road, there is a car coming from opposite direction with putting on full light beam, so that the Dad cannot see where he is going and the mom warned him that he is going to hit someone, so he tried to stop and drift, but failed. So the car is upside down and stuck in a tree. The Emily and mom get out but the Dad’s feet got stuck then, mother and Emily tried to help dad out, but ran out of time and dad fall down of the cliff. That is how the story starts.

As to make long story short, the family became broke because there are no Dad to support them financially

supply money, so they moved to their grandfather Silas place. At there, they found that the place is dusty and needs to be cleaned, when they are cleaning the place ,Emily found a very beautiful crystal and it is known as Amulet. Then when they are sleeping, there is a strange sound and mother went to figure out what it is. Then she get swallowed by a strange animal and Emily and Navin try to figure out what it is and try to help their mother, but when they follow her, they found that they were in a different world. The amulet guides her to the Grandfather’s place and found their grandfather. But the grandfather passed away in front of their eyes, so the Emily became the keeper of the stone. The grandfather’s friend or machines help the Emily to rescue her mother, at the end they rescue her but the mother got poisoned and the machines or friends and Emily and Navin went to find cure for her and it is end of part one.

This book is a very detailed graphic novel with exciting adventure that makes you to read more and more. I recommended this book to anyone above 9 years old, because it is very hard to understand. As for me, I would rate this book four and half out of five.



As conclusion, the Amulet is very special graphic novel that will hooked anyone who read even just five pages from this book. It will make you read more and more. Also it is very fine detailed graphic novel.
